To sign up to my members Yahoo group, you will first need to create a Yahoo profile if you do not already have one.  If you have a Yahoo id, sign in and follow the instructions from there.

If you do not have a Yahoo id:

Go to http://www.yahoo.com and click on the top right on Sign Up.


On the next page, click on the link to Sign up now.


You will be presented with a page where Yahoo wants some information about you (for marketing purposes, no doubt).  What you put on there is none of my business, and I will not see what you type in.  Entering your birth date on this page does not help me when it comes to accepting you in the group.

Just fill in the form with whatever information you feel comfortable sharing with Yahoo.

When done, click on the Submit this Form button at the bottom of the page. 


After correcting any error that may arise until you should get to the page that says Registration Completed.

Click on Continue to Yahoo!


If you refused to enter your personal e-mail, you were required to create a free e-mail account with Yahoo, so you should get the following page.

Fill in the requested information and click on Create Free Account.  You'll be taken back to the main page.

Now that you have a Yahoo id, sign in and follow these instructions:


Click on Acct. Info on the main page.  You will need to enter the password you used when creating your account.



We're almost there.  Now, you need to click on Edit/Create Profiles near the top right.


You are now on the Public Profiles page.  Click either on the Edit link to edit the default profile for your new account or on Create New Public Profile.



For my example, I clicked on the Edit link in front of my dummy account and got a profile page.

On this page, you need to click on Edit Profile Information.
At this point, you may be asked to read and accept the Terms of Service (TOS).  Read the page, click on I Accept, and you will get a page looking like this one.

To join the group, you only need to enter your Age and check the Adult Content box for additional privacy.  Then click on the Save Changes button.  You may enter additional information, but remember that it will be public to other adults.  I, for one, will only see your age (and gender if you decided to enter it).  That is the only way I know how old you are, so that is the only criterion I use to accept you in the group.

When you are done, go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BBPagesMembers and join the group.  You will receive the user id and password to get in the site as soon as I approve you.
